What We Do

Collaborating & Serving the communities of Hartford, Connecticut

HYEP alongside HYPE collaborate on many programs and services, serving the communities of Hartford with events such as the:
“Unity in the Community, Stop the Violence Movement”

• Community cookouts feeding over 12,000 families throughout the summer across several Hartford communities.
• Feed the homeless community.
• Annual Black History Program.
• Annual "Share the Warmth" winter wear drives, where we collect coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sleeping bags, blankets, hand/feet warmers, socks, and boots and donate to the homeless community with approximately 300 personal item/toiletry kits.
• Annual school supplies drive for Hartford Public School students.
• Annual "Thanksgiving Dinner" food drive, we donate holiday meals with all the fixings to families and or the local homeless shelters in the Hartford community.
• Collaborate with other community-based organizations for an annual holiday event (dinner and toy giveaway).
